Derma Rollers

New to the world of microneedling? Our derma roller is a great place to start! Lightweight, easy to use and with all the benefits of microneedling, a dermal-roller is a fantastic (and affordable) way to see if microneedling is right for you.

What is a derma roller good for?

Derma roller is easy to use

Dermarollers are lightweight and can be moved in a criss-cross motion around the face, easily covering larger areas such as the cheeks, forehead and neck with little effort required.

Derma roller lets you control the pace

As the derma roller is hand operated, you can easily control the tempo and pressure, so you’re in full control of your comfort level and results.

Derma roller is flexible and wireless

You also won't need to worry about charging your roller or plugging it in, as there is no motor. Simply pick it up and you’re ready to roll!

Derma roller is easy to keep clean

Easily clean the cartridges with an alcohol solution before and after use. A cartridge will need to be replaced every couple of uses to ensure that the needles are sanitary and hygienic.

Derma roller helps generate collagen

Experience the benefits of a derma roller, which include improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, sun damage, melasma, uneven skin tone, acne scarring, stretch marks, loose skin, dullness and more. The derma roller is a budget friendly option, an easy device to try as an intro into microneedling.

How is a derma roller different from a derma pen?

A derma roller is used for microneedling in the same way that the Dr. Pen Australia microneedling derma pens deliver collagen induction therapy. The derma pens are electric and powered by a motor, whereas derma rollers are manual and powered by hand. As they’re manually powered, derma rollers are a great entry point to the world of microneedling, perfect for beginners and those looking to trial microneedling before they commit to the superior features and results of a microneedling pen.

Although derma rollers are less feature-rich than their electric dermapen counterparts, that doesn’t mean that your choices are limited! At Dr. Pen Australia, we carry a number of models of derma rollers to suit your needs.

Our original 6-in-1 Derma Roller Microneedling Kit is a great all rounder, and a great place to start your microneedling journey. For those who like their beauty tools to play double-duty, our Hydra Roller allows you to infuse Hyaluronic Acid serum directly into the microchannels during the dermal-rolling process. And if you’ve got stubborn, thickened tissue such as scars and stretch marks, our derma stamp is a great addition to your beauty arsenal.

How often should you use a derma roller?

When it comes to the derma-rolling process, your skin requires at least 30 days to fully heal the microchannels and experience the benefits of the renewed collagen and elastin production. So you should be sure to microneedle no more frequently than once every four weeks, to protect the integrity of your skin whilst reaping the anti-ageing benefits of dermal-rolling.

We recommend treating your skin with a dermal roller once every four to six weeks. If you have any queries about derma rolling or are curious about the best way to go about microneedling for your specific skin concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at any time.

How long does it take to see results with a derma roller?

You will enjoy an immediate ‘glow’ from a microneedling treatment. Within the first seven days post treatment, you should begin to see your skin looking firmer, plumper and healthier overall.

Depending on the specific skin issue that you’re hoping to improve, you should begin to see improvements (such as diminished appearance of fine lines and wrinkles or hyper pigmentation) over the four to six weeks before you’re ready for your next treatment.
